Key Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L Ownership: Manage the division's budget, financial performance, and job costing to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow market share in the residential and commercial HVAC and heat pump sector.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Recruit, train, and manage all divisional staff, including installers, technicians, and sales personnel, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and high performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all HVAC and heat pump projects from conception to completion.
  • Hands-On Field Work: Perform on-site fieldwork as needed, including the technical commissioning of air source heat pumps to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and refine internal workflows, construction standards, and operational procedures to maximize efficiency as the division scales.

What You Bring to the Table:

Core Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of management experience in a construction trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) with proven P&L responsibility.
  • Direct, hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, with specific expertise in air source heat pumps being essential.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to work from our Bainbridge, NY headquarters.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: From $85,000.00 per year
  • Total On-Target Earnings: $105,000 - $125,000+ per year

What We Are Seeking:

We are seeking self-motivated and passionate individuals who want to make a positive impact in their local community by promoting smarter green energy solutions. This position requires an independent, detail-oriented, and energetic individual with good analytical skills.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for educating and advising customers on ways to save energy in their homes or businesses. You will be expected to walk customers through customized solar energy proposals in face-to-face meetings or remote Zoom/Teams presentations. The majority of our customers (80%) are residential, and they are located within the sales territory. Additionally, you will collaborate with our sales and engineering teams to design and sell renewable energy packages.

The sales territory of focus is within 100 miles from Ithaca, NY.

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Proven success in a sales position. You should be prepared to discuss success metrics applied in prior sales roles.
The ability to use a smartphone (for contract signing/site surveys).
The ability to work flexible hours to meet customer requirements.
Proficiency in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.), including utilizing customer relationship management systems (CRM).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
The ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
Excellent organizational skills.
The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
A clean driving record.
Preferred experience and existing network preferred.
Compensation:

The compensation package includes a base salary plus bonus. The total compensation package range is $35k - $185k based on experience and sales results.

Bonus Structure:

Bonuses are based on set monthly sales quotas, system type and size, and lead generation source. Candidates are also eligible for team bonus programs and company profit sharing following the probationary period.

Expected Ramp-Up Period:

The expected ramp-up period and total compensation package will be discussed during the interview process.

Typical Sales Cycle:

The typical sales cycle is 30 days.

Work Location:

The candidate should be located within a 45-minute drive from Ithaca, New York, and be comfortable driving within a 100-mile radius from Ithaca, New York.
